How many times have you let go of a friend, of all the memories, because you've stopped contacting him/her, only to have him/her pop back in for a while just when you were thinking of the old times as though to say "Hey, I'm merely in your Facebook list but I still remember you, get it?"

Take S for example. I believe that this is the first time in 4 years that I've said something to him ("Hey S!"). Not in school where I would've seen him everyday, but at Cityhall station, 3 years after we graduated. Minutes later, I received an SMS from an unknown number ("Happy shopping!"). Hey, it was him and HEY, he still had my number. When after a few phone switches I lost his (Yeah, I didn't ask...).

Okay, I don't know if it still makes sense. But it was nice.

It's the start of another 2-week posting.. In IMH! Hooray.

No more doctors who come around setting plugs/changing PEGs and as a result they end up messing the place, the patient, the bed, and then proceed to continue with whatever business they have. Leaving the patient lying there on his dirty bed linen in his bloody/soiled clothing until someone (note: nurse) notices and cleans up after the doc left his/her shit around. FRUSTRATING. I mean, is it so difficult to help that poor guy in bed to wear his diapers back proper? Or even pull up his pants for him or button up his pajamas top for him? Or even to just clear the damn rubbish (syringes, used gauze, used swabs, plastic wrappers, disposable kidney dishes) when they're done? Don't these doctors wipe their smelly asses after they're done pooping? Or do they secretly walk around with shit in their pants? Because they seem to give off a fucked up vibe.

Alright, my second trip to JB this year was a pretty awesome one, not including the letdowns. (Please, stick to shopping to City Square or visit the pasar malam. But don't bother heading out to the other malls, except Tebrau City or the one at Bukit Indah, maybe.)
Anyway, the good part: Foooood.
First meal of the trip was at Kim Gary's. That HK cha chan ting. Idk about Sg's, but the stuff I had over there was.. Tolerable. And oh, way cheaper.
Our supper was char kway teow from a street stall in a dark, damp alley. And ohmygoodness it was great HAHA. C'mon, S$4 for 2 plates of love and 2 drinks. Yeah, grab your passport now.
Mee goreng ayam + Nescafe ais was damn good too. Gotta love the cheap food from all the random shops/stalls there.
And lastly, Pizza at City Sq. Super random, but also super good. The thin crust was yumzzz and I think i'm starting to love basil pesto. It's Vivo Pizza, if you wanna know.
Okay, I sure hope I made you hungry HAHA. Go go make some bfast/lunch/dinner/supper now!

Anyway, I think the asst. director is really really nice.. (that fierce Indian lady named Kala or something). I mean, how often do we remember the small things? We pretty much overlook them a lot. All the time. Who'd remember to hold the frail old lady's hand, bearing in mind that no one had visited her throughout her stay, just to assure her because "y'know, females need to be comforted, their hands need to be held".

We could look at the COW all day, write reports all day.. Write the dandiest of reports. And be the best nurse but the lousiest person the world has to offer.

It's nice to know that someone sincerely appreciates what you did for them. Even if they didn't tell you straight up, you get the drift when they talk to you about stuff.

And then get to finally see her smile. I think Zafirah and I both hope that she's gonna do well.
